Doomsday
Act gloomy and pessimistic about any suggestion that you do not want, as if something terrible will happen the wrong choice is made. Play on uncertainties in the situation and skew the probability of something happening in your favor.
Alternatively, optimistically suggest your favored choice as if there could be no other.
Example
You want to stay home with your spouse to have a relaxing afternoon. She, on the other hand, has her heart set on renting kayaks and taking a private tour of the coast. You know that this would be fun, but some other time when you are not so tired. You tell her about all the dangers of kayaking alone and remind her of the cold water she will have to wade into, if not swim. Eventually, you tell her that you would prefer a nice romantic weekend where you two can snuggle up on the couch in front of the warm fireplace. She agrees and you get to spend the day the way you wanted.
