Topic: Getting Started RE negotiations

Hello all I have been lurking in the forum to see what I could learn about real estate negotiation and decided today I would register and post to get some imput from those of you who have been practicing selling real estate by negotiation.

A little background information on myself and where I am located. I live on the coast on the panhandle of Florida. I own a real estate company with offices in several states. I personally hold a real estate brokers license in several of these states as well.

After all the research I have done to date I am starting to formulate the idea that real estate may be heading in the direction of negotiations. If the figures that the NAA has projected are true then real estate will become a large portion of negotiations throughout the country.

I would like to hear if most of you dont mind sharing your experiences with selling real estate by negotiations including the pitfalls and positives you have seen or personally feel will effect this industry as it relates to real estate negotiations.

Also what advice can you give someone who is about to take that LEAP in to real estate negotiations. I would appreciate any advice on marketing tips...negotiations setup and the type of infrastructure needed to facilitate a successful RE negotiations business.

Re: Getting Started RE negotiations

negotiation real estate does appear to be grabbing a foothold along side of traditional brokerage. The one thing I might could do is share a web link with you, and you with me. We are so far away that we don't compete, yet we might be able to market to people interested in our different states. There is a segment of real estate negotiations patrons that are very wealthy and buy real estate all over where they feel that equity can be realized. In addition, I am interested in forming a syndication to maket domestic properties where the euros and pounds are.
